This guide helped me so much. Although by time I'd found it I'd already figured out a lot of the stuff in it from trial and error, I learned a lot that I hadn't put together for myself yet. The best thing about it was that it gave me permission to forgive myself for many social blunders over the years. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did.

And thank you to the late Marc Segar for writing it. You left a generous gift on the earth behind you.

Great resource. I still say the trial and error thing is important. If you do the right things because words on a computer screen told you, then it won't be personal enough.

When I first read this around when I was diagnosed I thought I already know all this stuff. Now years later I have to admit a lot of stuff I don't know or I know but I suck at actually putting into practice.

From one of the beginning sections of that book ...

Quote:
The most difficult thing about being autistic (or having Asperger Syndrome) is that so many people expect you to know these rules and live by them as they do, even though no-one has told you what these rules are. There is no doubt that this is extremely unfair, but unfortunately most people don't see it this way because they don't understand the problem.

If anyone knows of other helpful/cool things like that, feel free to post them. If I think of any more I'll edit them into my top post. I'm interested in reading similar free, online things if anyone knows of them.
