Sometimes, I have trouble remembering the names of people I've met recently. What's the right way to ask for an acquaintance's name?

...I tend to say " I'm bad with names " , even the first time when meeting someone .

I do the "I'm bad with names" thing too.

Generally, I'll go with "I'm sorry, what was your name again?"
