I've found now that I'm not in school it's hard to have friends beyond the first conversation we have. In the past it was as simple as we'd meet every day as our group was always at x place at lunches. That simple, no establishing contact...
Now I don't have that, if I have a good conversation with someone it's not unlikely that I'll never meet them again.
So what do you do after actually meeting someone/saying hello/first conversation? Do you simply ask "want to add me on facebook or something?", I don't think I could actually ask something like that... Then there's the problem of actually starting conversations online now; what do you ask people? Do you just randomly message someone with "what's up?"
I think the question I'm trying to ask is, 'how do you establish contact info with someone and how do you start (regularish) communication'?
I'm just so unsure about it. For instance a year or so ago I found someone on here interesting and often replied to each other in various threads. Yet I never knew how to take it past 'occasionally see them post something', despite the fact that we had various things in common. I mean, what, do you just message with "hello" or something? =/
Another more site-specific question: How do you talk to people on here? Do you make a thread asking for like-minded people to contact you or something?
