I was just observing recently how radical my post count on this board is compared to my much longer stays at other boards. My first boards I got around thirty to to fifty posts over a few months. At another I got close to one hundred over a similar period of time. On another I got one hundred posts in a year (with an additional three hundred over the next year). On yet another recently I had about fifty posts after a year.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? If so, what do you think is the reason for such a divergence? Is it subject matter? Increasing age? Increasing knowledge of how a board works? The way a board is arranged? I'm curious, because I've been on boards relating to subjects that I am very interested over the years, but the way I've been posting on these boards, I feel almost as though I've been taken over by another entity recently.

I think you may relate to people more, here, which makes it easier to talk. I found this site dramatically different from my old motorcycle website. Its more open minded and intelligent

The site it HUGE.

And it seems to welcome spamming more than most.
By which I mean silly little posts - especially in the games
sections.

I post here the most out of all the forums I've been on.

It´s actually pretty stupid, I posted on Gamefaqs for years then I found WP and now all the time I spent there feels like a waste of time :(. In GF, it felt like I barely knew anybody from there, despite all the time I were there. Dunno why.

Very true.
I haven't been here long and I can feel comfortable to an extent on other boards but I already feel far more at "home" here 8)

It depends on the situation. Sometimes, sometimes not.

I still post here because I'm bored and lonely.
