What the difference between not liking someone and not caring about them?

My two cents...

Not caring: They don't make you angry, scared, or upset, but you don't notice whether or not they're around. It doesn't bother you if they are, but you don't tend to seek them out.

Not liking: They cause negative emotions, you don't enjoy being around them, and you might even avoid them. The way they act, the way they talk, and the opinions they have are unpleasant to you.

I sometimes feel that way... My brother can say a lot of hurtful things, but he's still my brother.

In my opinion, "not liking" someone means you don't like the things they do or say and you might feel annoyed or mad when you see them. But "not caring" means you don't care about their feelings or if they are upset. I think you can not like someone but still care about them.
