Anxiety With Bathroom

I get a bit anxious where in the bathroom there is a line of men behind me and I'm using a urinal where other men are beside me (w/walls or not). I feel like I am being rushed so its harder for me to pee. My brain gets in this sort of fight or flight mode. It happened today when I was going to use the bathroom after seeing a movie and many dudes were using the restroom. Guess its an aspire thing.

Can anyone relate?

It's not exclusively an aspie thing. I think it's fairly common.

It's your thoughts that are causing the issue, try and let your mind go blank, kind of like meditation.

I tried, i still couldn't pee without thinking about anything.

The colloquial term for this is "pee shy". Google it and you'll find you're not the only one, and it's not an Aspie-only thing.

I do have that. Thanks for saying I have a nature where I can be shy and timid at times, and obviously it rubbed off on me when it comes to public rest rooms with loads of people.

I use to have a major problem with public restrooms, now I'm usually pretty good unless there is a ton of people and then I just don't go there. I think this is pretty common, part of my problem back in the day was just the germs aspect of it but now I just carry Purell so whatever.
