Therein lies your problem. Girls like the same sort of stuff as boys. They like specific 'girl' things, but they
also enjoy things that are non-gender related. For instance, I am a girl. I love brightly coloured nail polishes and looking at pretty dresses.
However, I also enjoy stuff about time travel and historical linguistics. How would you be able to tell? First you'd notice that I have bright blue nail polish. You could mention that and try to start a conversation (how many different colours of nail polish do you have? Which one's your favourite?) OR you could ask me what I like, at which point I'd probably mention time travel or historical linguistics. You can tell if you've hit upon a topic someone is enthusiastic about when they start talking quickly and/or a lot. People love talking about what they're interested in. Even people who don't have Asperger's. And girls.
