Last Friday during the day I went into a local bar in my towns high street to use the restroom. As I left the bar through one of the entrances I pushed the door (slightly) onto this guy who was outside the entrance and was smoking. When I pushed the door onto him he then turned stopped and starred at me (blocking my way out). I kept saying to him "I was just trying to leave the bar" and he continued to stare at me for a few seconds saying nothing with a confused or angry look (not really sure?). I then just walked past him and left. As I was walking away from the bar down the high street I looked over my shoulder and he was starring back at me open mouthed.

I was in a aggressive mood that day but can you explain why he reacted that way towards me?

Open-mouthed can mean shocked.

He may have been shocked that you pushed the door onto him.

Maybe he was waiting for you to offer an apology for pushing the door into him, like,
"Excuse me." or "I'm sorry."

Just stop going to bars.

You won't get this crap.

Hmmm I'm sure when he was first hit by the door he was mad (that's how I would react anyway) but for me when things like that happen the second the other person apologizes I get less mad and think "well, I guess he/she didn't mean it" Of course I'm a woman so it might be different for men. I think if I were a man and in that situation I'd probably need to appear tough for a moment in case it was intentional. He was probably confused or just trying to figure out if it was intentional.

Lol! Exactly! Why didn't you just apologize?
