So this has probably been discussed umpteen times but I need help with it and I've noticed quite a few aspies on here who have cracked the NT social code - I'm hoping you can teach me a few things.

Interrupting or cutting people off when they are speaking is one of my biggest problems with social interaction. I try so hard not to do it and have no idea how to stop doing it. What's the difference between a pause and a break that means "you may speak now"? What if it's a work associate and I really need to explain something they are missing so I'm listening to them for 5 minutes while they crap on about something that is actually incorrect and I can fix in 3 seconds if they just let me speak. How do NTs ever get a word in with each other?

Has anyone mastered this? Can you teach me?

Have you tried "I'm so sorry to interrupt, but I get what you're saying and can help".
Or just let them babble until they give the "you can talk now" look.
