I have a habit of looking at almost every person I see?

I don't stare at people, but I often glance at as many people as I can while I'm in public? For some reason, I find it interesting to see the different kinds of people that exist in this world? I don't really know any other reason why I do it, but does anyone else have a habit of doing this?

Even when I'm reading a really good book, I sometimes catch myself taking short breaks and glancing at people nearby?

That is one of the most NT things ever. Most people love eye contact. From my experience, strangers crave eye contact from other strangers. When I'm walking with an NT, I always notice them look up at people as they pass by.

Please don't misunderstand. I like looking at people out of curiosity, but I hate being stared at. It often causes me to get rather angry and paranoid.

I hate being stared at too. I avoid eye contact with strangers, but somehow I still can sense if someone is staring at me. It makes me feel self-conscious, paranoid and angry. It makes me feel like I stand out from everybody else. It's been bothering me for years.

But in the OP you described something that I thought was a normal thing.

I'm never sure what to do with my eyes when looking about. It's so uncomfortable to suddenly make eye contact, but I wanna look around sometimes (or check people out  )
