How do you deal with this?
Yesterday, I had a talk to my teacher about a "friend" of mine. She's all nice and stuff, but yesterday, I felt that she was only using me as a cheat sheet. I'm very intelligent, and know almost all the answers to any question, and I felt as though that if I wasn't intelligent, I wouldn't have any friends. How do you deal with that?
I had this all through primary school, secondary school, college and university and even now in an evening class. Half the class hate me and half want to sit next to me to copy. Is this kind of friend better than no friend
You can test the friendship, or try make it work more for you, by asking the `friend`to do things for you also eg do an activity that you like to do etc.
I think all friendships are supposed to be about give and take and it is a trade off to get what you need from people by giving what they need.

It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.
I haven't really had this much, but some people have sometimes asked me for answers to problems in maths and other subjects. They say "What did you get for question 2?" which is basically their way of saying "Can I have the answer to question 2?"
I would actually take this as a compliment! This is because it's nice for people to know you are smart (although they don't need to know), and I think that it is good to be known for being smart. Although I don't care about this much, when someone calls me a Boffin, I just tend to reply by saying "Thanks!"

I like your way of thinking Deep-Techno. I used to think people liked me at school because they always asked to see my work, but then I realised that was all they talked to me for. Then it started to bother me. Then I was in a newspaper story with the headline that included the word 'boffin' so everyone called me that. It depressed me for several years at school. Chris_hass I hope things are ok for you at school, just think like Deep Techno says. You're clever so that's only a good thing!
use your intelligence to your advantage turn the manipulater into the manipulated
have her pay you or something some of the lazier students will pay alot of money
