I find it difficult to make new friends. I find most people boring, stupid, uninteresting, inauthentic, and pretentious.
I don't like sports, most popular music these days suck, and most of the garbage people like regarding television is just that garbage.
I've tried in the past to be more compromising, lower my expectations, and dumb myself down to other people's level but it never works.
My interests are unusual for people in my age group and most people just don't share my intellectual interests or pursuits.
I sometimes really do wonder if I am destined to be alone the rest of my life. One is a very lonely number.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish I could like the things other people like so that I could have someone to share the things I like with.
I have been included in invites to go to group things, but it's been to events I hate, so I said no, and people interpret that to mean I don't like them, whereas I just don't like what they like.
It feels like it's my own fault that I'm left out, but then if I went along I'd be bored out of my head anyway. I'm actually happier doing my own thing.
Actually I'd prefer it if I had people around me who like the things I like. I do have a handful of friends who are quite individual and don't follow the mainstream trends.
I think you get to a point in life where you just accept that only a few people will be on the same wavelength.

Pretty much. I feel like I'm surrounded by idiots on a daily basis.
I don't mind being social just not with most crowds of people that I look at with scorn, ridicule, and contempt.
At the same time conflict arises because I don't much like being around myself either for long periods of time. It's a constant conflict of mine.
Your location appears to be of the Scandinavian vernacular in terms of language.
