Pen pal awkwardness

Hello, I am wondering about some issue I have been going through with a new penpal I had been writing to for a couple of weeks. We were writing to each other every day and I was getting used to writing her every day and getting a response. I didn't have any other penpals at the time because get overwhelmed talking to more than one person at a time. I noticed her replies got shorter, although I was really enjoying writing to her. I don't know if I annoyed her but she hasn't been writing to me as much now and I am feeling hurt and wondering what I did wrong. I'm worried that maybe she doesn't like me anymore or maybe I am expecting too much too soon? I don't know how it works but I am trying to look for other penpals to write to in the meantime.

I have a tendency to do this at times...giving short replies to an otherwise long message. I don't know the reason why your penpal is doing this, but personally, I get busy sometimes, and rather than being rude and responding to the email a few days later, I write shorter emails. Maybe you could ask her how she's doing, how's school/work etc and see what her response is.
