Rude of her or not?

There was this girl who was in my social group in school and college who I knew really well since she was in a romantic relationship with one of my friends. I last spoke to her properly at a barebeque in 2013 and at the time she seemed really happy to see and talk to me.

However more recently I have seen her around town twice and both times she just walked past me like I don't exist.

Do you think that was a bit rude of her or not?

Have you changed it all in the past three years? Perhaps she doesn't recognize you.

She might not remember you. It's been three years, after all.

It's also possible she was distracted by something or busy & didn't really notice you or have time to spare.

Not rude, unless you greeted her first.

i accidentally walk by people i don't notice all the time.
the only times i know i do this is when someone else points it out.
she may have just been lost in thought.

It depends on if she recognized you or not.

I am notorious for looking straight at someone at not seeing them.
Its like I am so inwardly focused or watching some internal day dream that my vision goes on autopilot and just keeps me from running into things.

You could remind her of who you are along with mentioned the barbecue.

Like others have said just sounds like she is lost in her own thoughts.
