I would like to start this off by clarifying that I do not have Aspergers or any condition on the autism spectrum myself, but I dont know who to turn to. The teachers let this kid stalk me and no matter what I do or inform them of. Its unfair to me and its unfair to him. I dont want to lose my mind and emotionally destroy this kid, but my sister is at the school now and he has a history of harrassing my friends and I dont want that for my sister. Look, hes an alright guy, he has some interests that I share but hes too volatile. In addition to aspergers he has bipolar and serious anger issues. I suppose it all started when we were freshmen, and I decided to be nice to the poor guy who seemed to have no friends. And I guess hes attached now. If anyone comes anywhere between us he flips his lid. I have come to both pity and resent him. I really think this might lead back to his parents *something I cant try to fix* coddling him completely. He admits to having never been grounded in any way, and his brother is always blamed for everything he does. but thats not the point here. I just want to know how I can let him down easy, or at least get him to quit following me and making my friends (and now family) uncomfortable. Im very sorry if I have offended anyone here but I need help before I go mad.

Forget being gentle, because that may not be effective. I called the cops on a stalker who started calling me fifty times a day, and it solved the problem. It didn't lead to serious problems for him,but having a recognizable authority call him out seemed to solve the issue.

First try writing him a letter/email/text message, that you don't want to totally end being friends with him, but that you need your space, so he can't always be hanging out with you, and that such behavior is rather creepy, so please stop. And tell him that if he doesn't stop, then you can't be friends anymore. If that doesn't work, then you need to have a lawyer send him a cease and desist letter, and if that doesn't work, then report him to the authorities.

Hope this helps.
