Is there anyone here who really did overcome AS? If not totally, at least to some extent? Like... did you get married, made friends? Can you lead a normal life?

I have no social life. No friends. I'm awkward and don't have self-confidence.

I feel like I can't bear to live this way for more one or two years. I really want to change. That's why I'm looking for positives stories, so I can take them as an example.

Some of the friends I have also have autism so I feel like I can relate to them a little better than most NTs.

Are you an artist? It looks like it from your avatar.

I am an artist who currently has artwork on exhibit at a public government building. I also have an online store and just sold two prints this past Friday to a lady in another state. Have also had artwork exhibited in art galleries and museums.

So yes, there's hope for you! :D

I was really awkward in middle school. That is until I took up cross country and track.

Idk..for some reason running helped curb or alleviate some of the worst symptoms of AS.

Got married. Have a job. As for friends...well...I have some activity helping out in my church, and I communicate regularly on social media. However, I do not "hang out" with anyone except the hubby. I'm much too blunt and nerdy and tomboyish for most other women. I don't think I would be able to read their 80 million social cues!
