Exploding Heads
Alright, I don't like to be noticed thus I don't like to talk, but I still try to get over this hump. I want to get answer in class and to share my information. However, when ever I muster up the courage to do this, I sense the people's attention on me and then suddenly my head starts to heat up really fast and I feel out of breath. And they only way to get through this is to quickly finish what I was saying or cut myself off and shut up and slide back into the background.
But today the oddest thing happened. I work with food and such and today I dropped this whole tray of foof on my foot. It didn't really hurt, but it made alot of noise and everyone turned and looked at me. And I don't know if I panicked, like it was busy, so only one person turned and said "are you alright" but I couldn't stop my head from heating up in overdrive. Like it was ten times worse than normal. I felt like I wanted to faint, and I was so unbelievably tired suddenly. If at that moment I were to let myself sleep, I know I would have slept for hours. And usually I am so fast when I work, but I felt myself and my head slow down sooo much. And I was so thristy. It was freaky. And I don't know what happened. I have been hurt while working, but I make sure that no one knows. So does anyone think it is the combination of pain and tempoarily being the center of attention in addition to having a public mistake? Has this happened to anyone here, or at least the heating of the head at times?
when I`m in a stressful public situation I have this too. The blood rushes to my head, I feel shaky and then have to sleep for hour or so if possible. I thought it was panic attacks?

It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.
Sounds like a panic attack to me too - perhaps you should look into some medication for this?
There are other techniques too like breathing exercises and meditation, but I personally have found that these don't work for me as my panic attacks are very severe and can be quite sudden.
It sounds like you might also be having some symptoms of heatstroke or hypoglacemia - btw I'm no doctor, so I'm just guessing, and these are probably just brought on by the panic and by the adrenaline surge that this brings.
But perhaps carrying a small bottle of water around and some cereal bars or something might help with the 'side effects' of your panic attacks.
Perhaps at work and school, it might be worth speaking to the people in charge and explaining your problems and asking if people could make a concerted effort not to look at you as this causes you to become quite distressed.
These are just a few ideas - I don't know how good they are, but I just wanted to help if I could. I hope that's okay.
Oh, so THAT is a panic attack. I never knew. I should really stop asking my dad these things, since is definition of a panic attack is completely different! Thanks guys, alot. That infomation is extremely helpful.
It doesn't happen all the time when I talk, but when I think about it, it happens when I am trying not to pretend you know and to really share myself, you know? Like when I purposely interject myself somewhere and now when I am already in a situation and I just have to find something to say to seem normal. Like "I am tired." "I can't wait for work to end." The normal tired employ phrases.
But I have another question, after a panic attack how does it affect the rest of your day? Yesterday for me after that happened, I made alot of mistakes I usually don't make, like switching things, reading things wrong, and I burned my arm with a hot baking sheet.
Thanks guys again!
I can tell you a strange story a friend someday told me...
he was walking at a very public place, when he noticed another guy falling in to the floor at a very highlighted place, and at a very fun manner. Than he stood imagining what he, himself, would do in such a situation, and concluded that in such case, he would do the following: just after falling down at a ridiculous situation, he would roll abruptelly to one side, than jump to another, and them would do another crazy action before leaving fastly the place!
He told his aim after such a difficult situation was to deeply confuse everybody around!! !
Well, I wouldn't say to people for doing the same, but sometimes it can be a temptation! ![]()
