I just got an interesting text from a girl I’ve met at school, I’ve been friends with since January. Here it goes.

“I think you caused my panic attack that I had last week at school. I would appreciate it if you did not sit by me or stand by me.”

My reaction is just LMAO right now. I haven’t texted her back, assuming she blocked me.

Well stay away from her then. If you did something socially inappropriate that scared her, I think staying away is the best line of action, and if you didn't do anything wrong and she is delusional, I think staying away is still the best line of action.

My question is: what did you exactly do that was likely to trigger said panic attack? If you can think of it, try to avoid doing it again in her presence.

Well, she works in a place that occasionaly has screaming children, the screams cause her to have a panic attack. She usually has to go the back room of her work whenever that happens.

I still don't know what I did to cause it.

If she's asking you not to sit or stand near her, then I'm going to guess it had something to do with standing or sitting near her. Do you tend to get in people's personal space? If she has panic/anxiety issues then people standing or sitting too close to her could be a problem for her. I have anxiety issues myself and I can have a really hard time with people who aren't good at staying out of my personal space when I'm out in public. People standing too close to me in a queue at the grocery store can ratchet my anxiety right up, for example.
