My brother and I sometimes go nonverbal at the same time

Sometimes my brother and I have bad days together and we both go nonverbal and its hard to get us to speak.

Our younger sister yells at us to talk but somedays that makes it worse. I want to scream when people tell me to talk. I cant just be forced to talk. Neither can my brother.

Once my younger brother was at the library with my older brother and I. He got overwhelmed by something and ran away. It was something that doesnt trigger me. I think it was the way the door rings when it gets opened. We couldnt find him for at least 20 minutes. We asked a librarian if they had seen a teenage boy with black hair who may have looked a bit flustered. She helped us look for him. We eventually found him hiding on the second floor, rocking back and forth. He was very visibly upset. But a stranger was trying to tell him everything was ok and asked his name. I know they had good intentions but it caused him to get more overwhelmed. He couldnt respond.

We talked to the person and told them that he had autism and that I had it too. They said it was nice to meet us and that he hoped my brother would be ok. It ended good but sometimes it doesnt.
