I don't understand why two people who don't get along at all continue to hang around each other. I have seen this with children and with adults. The two friends will put each other down and fight constantly. They bag on each other behind each others backs. They both claim to not be friends, but they do everything together and tell each other everything. I don't understand these kinds of friendships at all. What do you all think about these types of friendships?

Maybe they need something like that? But I'm struggling with definition of friendship. The only thing I've learned about friendship, is that one can't avoid contact for a few months (years) and expect everything will be like the break never happened

Elaine, got no clue, you know what I mean? Seen this at work with people. No understanding but it is possible they are addicted to dysfunction.

Some people definitely can't function without drama and dysfunction in their lives.
