Hi-I've introduced myself in the "getting to know you" section, but as one in a gazillion posts, that hasn't garnered much. I'm looking for people to talk to about life with autism and to exchange stories, ask and give advice, commiserate. I'm a 31 year old female from MN. I don't care if you are far away. I just want more people to talk to. About anything. I know there are lots of lonely, isolated people with autism, and if any of them read this, I would particularly like to hear from them, if they are also looking for someone to talk to. I want to exchange PM's every few days, maybe a week or two at the longest. No set amount of time, I just want to keep talking and not fall out of touch for six months. If either of us decide we have nothing in common, and you no longer want to talk, that's fine. I won't message someone if they ask me not to.
Just a few things to start about me-Again I'm 31 from MN, I'm adopted, I was diagnosed with Autism at age 24. I grew up with dogs and I currently have cats. I live by myself in a one-bedroom apartment and I recently started a new job. I'm a recovering alcoholic, and I love books, netflix, and writing when I'm in the mood for it. I have an awesome social coach and my social skills have developed well enough to the point I would feel comfortable sharing them. Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you!
