Why do people say they want to beat people up? I fail to see why anybody would ever do this, nothing somebody does warrants this response. I would never say this or do this. It makes completely no sense to me.

If someone gets angry with someone else, they may want to express that anger with violence.

If someone wants to prove dominance or superiority, they may try to do this frequently, just to show that they can.

Could also be for some sort of retaliatory purpose. I guess that kind of goes with the first one.

There might be more reasons, I can't think of any others at the moment.

Because some people are pathetic p*icks who want to appear 'macho' in an entirely wrong and ammusingly pathetic way.

edit: That's if they are typical bullies. I mean I'm sure some people yes - get p*ssed with people and feel warranted to beat them up.

Android, I don't understand it either. I used to play kind of rough with other kids; all the kids in my neighborhood did. But I can't imagine intentionally beating someone up, especially as an adult. Nothing good comes of it for anyone involved. I guess it's one of those illogical social behaviors that people carry out without thinking.

im far too lazy to beat people up... but you say that nothing people do warrants this response. i tend to disagree. the in-your-face kind of stupidity some people display to appear oh-so-cool absolutely warrants having them beat up to the degree that they wish they could vomit out their intestines, too.

Anger, mostly. If someone had wronged you or those closest to you wouldn't you like to see the perpetrator suffer?

This threat is typical of the very insecure person.

Yes, I have seen this behavior in many of my peers, even myself at times, indeed it is for dominance but also it can be employed to prevent people from harassing ya, tho i found in the past that sometimes that would backfire. Ya... nothing good ever results for eather side in the end.

I think NTs in this state are dictated by their emotions and must somehow feel threatened and then feel entitled to show their dominance. They can be tough, yes? Maybe they have no other means of expressing those emotive 'feelings.' Thank god (minus the religious aspect) that I/we are exempt.

I have also observed NTs kicking and cursing inanimate objects, such as vending machines, copy machines, etc. Totally illogical - as if that will help! Do they think the machine will understand NT anger and respond appropriately? Weird. Just plain weird.

One would think they could harness those reckless emotions into something more constructive....I guess not - this concept seems to elude NTs.

Plus, they seem erratic and unpredictable. ie: "I had a bad day, so ______________." Nutty.

I've always experienced a lot of rage when dealing with people, but never seriously tried to beat anyone up since elementary school.

I just assume all violent behavior is a carryover from our barbaric past, where one had to literally fight to survive at times. It serves no purpose as long as we give up the right to attack others to preserve a universal right to personal safety in society, but society never gets it right for everyone, and could collapse someday, so I keep watching a lot of zombie movies and other quality violent entertainment to get in the right mindset that will enable me to waste whoever I have to, if worse comes to worse in my lifetime. I see no point in beating someone into submission, but I've met so many a**holes who'd clearly just as soon remove me from the gene pool if they were capable of greater honesty that I don't really value human life unconditionally, and could probably kill someone without flinching if I had to.

But until then, god gave us them GTA games so we could get it out of our system without hurting anyone.

Because they deserve it. I've never had trouble understanding this, and I've followed through a couple times, and there are many more people in this world who I'd like to "beat up".

They are reassuring themself that they are tough and won't take crap from anybody. Supports their ego, trying to earn respect through fear, or just plain angry at somebody. I've been around this a bit, usually my brothers friends growing up. They always talked like that, I don't let it bother me it's just the way they are, especially around a group of friends. I have done it before as well a couple times. I've never initiated a fight though, the only fights I have been in were self-defense. (mostly)

I have occasional homicidal fantasies but they are warranted. Is that ok? I am not implulsive, however. Which distingushes me from, say, Jeffrey Dahmer. Big difference. I am, in fact, very sweet.

Oh, hahaha! That was an accidental cannibalistic pun - unintentional! In this context, I'm probably not sweet, but salty! I read once that humans go well with sage, btw. Off topic.

I forgot what we were talking about.....

I think most psychopathic behaviours, such as the ones of your average bully, are wired. There are lots of cases in which those people had decent education and people that cared about them, but they turned out to be violent douchebags. Still, they should be held responsible of their actions, or else you're having wolves roaming free among sheeps.
