Hi, I'm a somewhat shy, reserved, and odd guy with a slightly "different" personality. Could you give me some advice on making friends or just having normal relationships?

I know this sounds cliché but it is true. Find a group of like minded people and more often than not friendships will form organically.

The only tricky part is figuring out what that group is. Do you have any hobbies? If so find a group of people that is interested in that hobby.

You can try meeting people on meetup.com there are tons of different social groups on there for you to try and they are often free or at little expense.

Social / support groups based around individuals with autism is also another good option.

I hope this helps you towards finding a new friend.

Good luck!

I've often suggested going to church to make friends.
