As an artist (not fully professional yet, but I'm not starving) I feel like I get more satisfaction out of having fans than I do out of friends. I seem to connect much more easily with the social landscape or as I like to call it "The Social Machine" than I do with individuals. I'm having a fairly interesting conversation with society right now, but I'll reveal it later when/if I can make a documentary about it.

Anyone else have experience with this form of social interaction?

No, I don't relate, but I do like your username!

As an artist, perhaps what you are describing is the shaman thing. Perhaps you need to be the interpretor at the societal level? I can understand that.

Thanks.

Perhaps.

I do believe though that Andy Kaufman did us all a favor.
