It's kinda long story

Ok, so there was this teen (I don't want to use his real name so I'll call him Chuck) who went into a coma from having something around his neck and there was a whole bunch of rumors on how he died, one of the big ones was "the Chocking Game" also there was all kids of groups like "Please Pray for Chuck" and "Stay Strong Chuck" I joined those groups and help spread them and I even made a video to pray for him so he wouldn't die. I thought he played the chocking game, because that's what the newspaper said, so I made a group "Stop the Chocking Game" and I made a dedication to him in the groups and I put it the description, then I was told by his cousin that he did NOT play the chocking game, but he was joking around, so I had to remove the Chuck rumors from the internet.

Later on Chuck died and I added the "Chuck Memorial Page" to my MySpace. I then removed the video to pray for him, then uploaded a tribute video to him, and I got all positive comments and people were saying how good of a person I was. Then another article came out saying it could be a suicide, so I told people about the article so I could disprove the chocking game theory, and the person who ran the Chuck Memorial Page cursed me out saying I was low and pathetic, but I put in my bulletin that I NEVER said it was true! So I moved on and blocked the person.

Ok now here is where what I thought was nice, was actually mean. I say all the tribute pages to Chuck on MySpace and Facebook, so I wanted to be thoughtful I decided to make a YouTube Channel dedicated to him, since there was none, it started out okay, then the next thing Chucks mother comes and says that she's all sad because I got some things WRONG about him! Then a girl on MySpace demands I remove the Chuck YouTube saying that his brother and mother are sad that I am making a JOKE out of him!? That's when I get upset and REMOVE every inch of Chuck things I had on the internet!

ANY ONE EVER EXPERIENCE DOING SOMETHING YOU THOUGHT WAS NICE, ONLY TO FIND OUT OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS MEAN?

^^ I believe that was not mean. There is always interpretation of matters I believe and I am not quite certain why they believe you wish to make a joke of the boy. ^^ Though I believe it was nice to remove everything after this incident, in case individuals were offended. ^^ I believe you should not feel ashamed but proud. You did something lovely that was misinterpreted, and tried to correct this afterwards also. Sorry if I am incorrect however.

Well, first of all, I'm sorry to hear that that happened to you. It sounds like you made an effort to do something kind and caring, and somehow it was misinterpreted. It's hard to tell from your story what the problem could have been, though.

I can't think of any specific examples right now, but I know similar things have happened to me plenty of times. After a while it leaves you feeling afraid to even attempt to do something nice or helpful.

I remember when this girl would have this kid hug her all the time, and then she told me that she really didn't like him hugging her and neither did her boyfriend so me trying to be the good person went and told his friends that she really didn't like him hugging her, and then the next thing there all yelling at me saying I should mind my own business!! ! I almost cried!

Later on her boyfriend broke up with her, but she wasn't mad at me, well it's kinda 50/50 I guess I did a bad thing to the boy, but a good thing for her.
