My friends and I will sit in joke around for a bit,then after about an hour or so i will go back and try to joke about the same thing,and they just give me this look.

I know they have the braincells to remember something that happened an hour ago..but it never registers.

has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, at work, I'll continue on with instructions I have formerly recieved only to be met with some kind of 'what are you doing that for" attitude.

It's probably about 50% presentation. And you've got to have good timing in your jokes, or it will sound like the robot Andrew in that back porch scene in the movie Bicentennial Man.
