I am kind of unusual area for an autistic person. I have social skills coach (yes, they do exist) but she states that I am not to enough events for her to work with. The problem is that all of the events are "outside" of my normal social circle and are very NT heavy events.

She wants to me to go there to practice my social skills that she has taught me and watch me to observe how there other NTs interact with them. She is demanding 2-4 of the events per week even when I do not have any events with people in my normal social circle. Most of these events come from a site called Meetup.com which very active out here.

Some events like the Karaoke meetup and Asperger's Meetup are great because there are around activities that I like to do. I think my problem is I am shy but need some motivation to do this.

The question for you: Have you heard decided to go outside your own social circle? And meet new people. Heck for it sounds a good way to get involved and I might start one to discussing politics.

If it helps good, but don't let her force you to do anything that is unhealthy for you. she might not understand what is mentally healthy for you. i know i couldn't go to 4 social events a week.
