Lately I've been starting to hate North Carolina and here's the reasons why:

(If you live in my town) there's not a lot to do here.
There's not a lot of job choices here.
There's not really people like me (even my friend is not like me).

Maybe I can move somewhere else after I'm done with school.

PS: The schools here are crap, too.

Try France.

PS: Apartments fill fast up here, so by the time I get out of school, it will probably be like that.

How ironic, roygerdodger ...

Here I've been considering moving to North Carolina ..... because I think Southerners are friendlier, which is why I like vacationing down South!

Could it be the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence?

If you need things like Medicaid, Foodstamps, Mental Health Treatment and other types of Social Services to exist in today's
world, you had better pick a HIGH TAX state like New York State or Massachusetts which offers these things more readily to its
residents than many other states in the USA.

I have known many people from the Southern states who move to New York State when their income falls well below the poverty level or they need mental health treatment, of one kind or another, for themselves or their children...and then, return to
their home state eventually.

New York State and Massachusetts seem to be excellent states to reside in when you are "poor" and need government services but, not so good when you are working and required to pay for such services through HIGH taxes.

The best places are the northeast new york, new jersey, connecticut, massachusetts, as well as the Pacific Northwest and west coast. People in the New York Metropolitan area are extremely tolerant of differences. I live in the New York/New Jersey area and people are incredibly tolerant. When I visisted the deep south and when I visited Utah and Kansas I was amazed at the narrow-mindedness of people I felt like an Englishman in the Sahara dessert.

I'd love to move to Kansas, in the middle of nowhere, no one around me with tall grass swaying in the afternoon breeze.
