Would it be weird if I told a girl that I liked her voice? Not that she herself isn't pretty, but would just going up and saying "I think you have a beautiful voice" be unwelcome?

The compliment itself is not unwelcomed, but does she know you? If not, then having a personal comment out of the blue from someone she doesn't know may be taken the wrong way.

I know what you mean. There have been womens voices that when they are speaking it is like they are singing. I will stop what I am doing, close my eyes, and just listen. It is very calming.

If you don't know her, I hope you get a chance so you can compliment her. I think women would find such a compliment a welcome change from the "typical" compliments -if they know you.

Er, no, she doesn't know me :/

She's a clerk at my college's bookshop. I suppose unless I catch her off work I'd have to go and buy something to make it seem casual that I'd talk to her?

Hi! I think it is one of the nicest compliments to offer someoone, it is not sexist, not intimidating, it is a very nice honest offering to one..She may even speak to you more, knowing you like her voice....I am usually embarrassed when I receive compliments on my features, but always feel more confident when I am complimented on my own voice-it's soft and mellow.

I love nice voices.
Buying something and commenting about her voice after she says something is a normal thing to do. I think it is a good intro to asking if she wants to get together and talk over cofee later, just to be able to listen to her voice some more. You can probably word it better than me, but you should at least get a blush for your efforts, even if she turns you down.

I love really nice voices too. I've heard some voices that just drove me wild.

Nice female voices are fine, but I mostly emphasize a young female's attire and looks, and her behavior too.

Voices are very important to me- I often identify people by their voices as much as by their appearance, since mild prosopagnosia makes it difficult between people on the basis of their physical appearance. I can almost always recognize someone's voice, though.

Womens voices are meant to be attractive.

I've been told by complete strangers (male & female) I have a lovely voice - who doesn't like a compliment from time to time?

From the other side, I once phoned an ex, at work, when I knew she wasn't there...because her voice was on the answerphone message...it wasn't just that it was her, but that it was the most beautfiul voice I've ever heard.

I never remember nor do I really see faces so voices are what attract me to begin with... I think it would be a lovely thing to say and I'd imagine it would be a great ice breaker to continue the conversation with...

No man I think that's totally kosure.

If she has a nice voice tell her.

Don't be a creeper about it but feel free to give the compliment.

I don't know. Being someone who receives very little compliments, and next to zero attention from boys, I'd be ecstatic if a boy said that to me. Particularly if they used the word, "beautiful." I actually don't like my voice, so if someone said that to me, I'd be overcome with joy. But hey, that's just me. ;)

I often compliment people on random things. I consider it one of my quirks. I often say to random people, "Can I read your shirt?" or, "I love your hair!" or something like that. So if it were me, I'd just walk past them while they're finishing a sentence, then pause and say, "You know, you have a nice voice," and just keep walking. Like, I would act like I only just noticed it, as if I'm saying it on the spur of the moment. If it looks like you've been mustering up your courage, it'll seem a little loserish (no offence). ;D
