I am still looking for someone who is my age, who's like me, who's in high school, and who either lives in my town (I live in High Point) or my part of the state(I live in the Piedmont Triad region) who would like to be my friend. I've been feeling lonely lately.

well, I'm closer than most (south of Raleigh), but my high school days were back in the 70s. Hope you find someone out there (lived in G'boro for a few decades, Grimsley/UNC-G grad...;)

It may not be what you're looking for, but what about getting involved in a nursing home ministry so you can spend time playing checkers with one of the residents?

Hi RD,
As I've mentioned before, I was born in High Point, but that was decades ago.
This looks very promising, and if I lived there, now as a teenager, I'd give it a try:
Volunteering at HPRHS
You'll be doing a good thing and meet some people.

Oops. Sorry, that program is full. But something like that at a hospital or maybe at High Point University?

Well, my mom has been telling me that I could work at that college's library.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that, too.

I always found friendship in a book. Or videogames. But if you want friends of the real persuasion then I can not help you. The only way to make friends is try.

Well, a job in a uni library sounds heavenly, to me. My father taught physics there. Good school. I say, go for it! :)

My advice would be to find extracurricular activities that you are interested in and then try to find friends that way. Or you could perhaps start seeing a therapist and discuss what is keeping you from making friends.

So far I only fit the criteria for age and going to high school. I don't live anywhere near you (I live in Ontario), but who knows? I might be a lot like you. Omg, let's CHAT! :D

:P Anyway, good luck!
