Today I was in a rush too get home so i decided too get a taxi outside the station. The taxi driver who 3 years ago was quite friendly too me since he was my regular taxi driver.... well when i said too him can i have a lift back too the kings road (the road i live on) we both starred at each other for a few seconds and he said in a angry voice "what part of kings road?" "are you sure you know what part of kings road you want too be dropped off at" ? When saying this he growled, gritting his teeth and looked angry. About 3 months ago i got a taxi ride back home with him and although he was not agressive he gave me kind of a funny attitude then as well. On that occasion a few months back i asked him "can i have a lift too kings road" and he responded "i am sorry what did you say?"

Earlier todayu I felt very threatend and confused so i got in the taxi with him and just sat there silently for the 5 minute drive home and did not utter a word too him. Afterwards i was so annoyed i felt like going back too the station and giving him a piece of my mind but i thought that was not a good idea.

If you could guess why do you think he was so agressive towards me? It was only a one off sitatuation that i got a taxi home cause i was in a hurry.

Smile back and do not get angry. He probably has some personal issue. Unless you have done something wrong, but most taxi drivers have a lot of bad passengers and you do not sound like one.

It's not an easy job. Give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Surely the taxi driver must have been risking his job by being agressive too me? I am sure theres a rule saying that you should not be unkind too passengers am i not correct?

Maybe, he had his own problems, but just taking it out on you. Taxi drivers have a hard life, and have to deal with a lot of bad crap. Just pay it no mind.

I don't think taxi drivers are held to any standard of politeness, but he was probably just having a bad day and took it out on you. I wouldn't worry about it. He probably was ugly to a lot of people that day.
