I'm accused of this every now and then, although I'm never sure why. I rarely feel particularly nervous or even unusual at the time. Indeed, my behaviour is different in every instance I can recall; in one, I'm kind of withdrawn, not bothering to say a lot or take my mind off interior matters, though I also stay on task (I'm in a psych lab with a partner) and remain responsive; in another, I'm talking a lot and (I think visibly) enjoying myself.

Usually the discrepancy between my feelings and others' perceptions thereof isn't quite so obvious, so I'm wondering if anyone else has, to their surprise, been called "skittish" or something similar and whether they know what occasions that identification.

Thanks.

Occasionally, my friends tell me I remind them of a skittish kitten with claws. RAWR!
