Okay, I sometimes meet people and it works alright but I never know how to get their contact details (and I will usually have forgotten their names at the end of the conversation which is pretty embarrassing...) How do I get people's contact details without looking like I am interested in a romantic way? (I usually get along better with girls so sometimes they make assumptions that I am flirting or something).

Talk to them about something out of school/work/whatever, that they are interested in, like a video game or activity or sport or anything, and hint towards letting them do said thing with you. If they are interested, ask for their contact detail. If your ever talking to them about really anything involving an activity that two can participate in you can pretty much always directly ask them for their contact info.

Yeah but there usually isn't anything like that. They just have a nice personality or they're funny and they're the kind of people I want to be seen with.

I tend to just go with the flow on this matter. I figure that if there is enough connectability between two people, they will get each other's phone number, e-mail, Facebook etc., and it just happens, it's something they'll just do. If it doesn't happen, there isn't the depth of connection yet or ever.

Lol, I recently got the number of the girl I like, by after a long conversation on facebook, I just said straight out "Hey, can I ask you something without sounding like a stalker?" "Of course!" "Can I have your number?"

Can't buy class. :P
