Does anyone ever feel guilty after sending an IM to someone and they don't respond, and you feel guilty, because you disturbed them? Man, I hate that.

I would not be feeling disturbed when someone PMed me when I was busy. Maybe I could be annoyed by the message, but that would not mean the person who sent the message should feel guilty. Maybe it was just my own behaviour?

Feeling guilty about one PM-message is just a way to make yourself feel bad. Feeling bad after sending dozens of PM-messages would be something else, but just one message?

don't beat yourself up about it, people are busy creatures and they might have just *dismissed* your message. My friend always deletes them by accident so I give it one last try, if no answer shows then I guess it wasn't important so you do the same and don't mind it.

If it's a newly made friend then just send him/her a message letting the person know you're around to hang out, relax.

Being a aspie and having had a very good friendship for over 12 years has thought me that communication in a relationship of any sort always is a 50/50 send<---->receive exchange, why worry, he doesen't... should you?

What bugs me more is when you're in the middle of a MSN conversation and your friend just stops talking randomly but is still logged in. I have a good friend who does this, and I don't really understand why. I give her three nudges (perhaps a bit excessive, but c'est la vie) She's a good friend, and has been there for me a lot, but she just tends to do this, and it DRIVES ME NUTS!
Yeah, I kinda went off on a tangent there. Don't worry too much, I often just forget to log off my MSN and people start messaging me when I'm reading a book or something.
