I'm considering going to the Download Festival this year, but I'm thinking of going with some different friends.

Anyone considering going as well?

I would, except I live nowhere nearby it, and I'm not paying money for a plane ticket to see Dir en grey just now.

That's a shame. Isn't there any other festivals nearer you?

I'm between home in Seattle, and school in Virginia.
Whenever something cool happens nearby One of these places, I'm not there.

But Download festival seems like it has a real kick-ass lineup this year. Hope you enjoy yourself!

Its an annual rock and metal festival held in Donington Park, Derby on Friday 12th-14th June. My first post on this thread has a link to the festival's home page.

That's gotta suck.

Yea, I hope I can go. I went last year and it was awesome.

Just the atmosphere there, one of my female friends actually said that she felt safe walking around the campsite at night on her own coz the people there are so cool.

Hope you enjoy it. =)

Sorry, can't make it. Too busy this year.

Incidentally, I'm only 30 minutes from where they do South by Southwest (I'm just south of Austin, Texas).

Oh, I wish I could go to Download this year.

It's probably a good job i'm cash starved....both Clutch and FAITH NO MORE on the lineup...i'd probably combust (or kidnap Mike Patton)

That's the thing with reading. It appeals more to the mainstream and the tickets sell out really quickly.
