Well, how many of these people are actual friends, and how many of them are people you added after speaking to them once online? I would be willing to wager that the large majority of them are people that you've never met. How many of them do you think commonly read your profile?
The online friends, you don't really have to worry about. Some of them might have culled you from their friends list anyways, without disclosure. They're no biggie.
The friends and acquaintances that you DO have in real life might be more of an issue. People generally aren't too comfortable around people with disorders, unless they themselves have disorders, or are already close friends/family with people that do. And some disorders people are more uncomfortable with than others. For example, someone might be fine and dandy with paraplegia, but god forbid if one of those Down's Syndrome people start talking to them! Or someone with schizophrenia. The legal system hasn't made them look very good.
If some of your online chat buddies are uncomfortable, who cares? There are plenty more where they came from. But if some of your REAL friends and acquaintances are uncomfortable, then not only are you losing Facebook friends, it will make your day-to-day life a whole lot more awkward.
Think the Writing Tutor times 5. Could you really deal with that?
