Do you have trouble looking at someone's eyeballs when conversing with them? I know I do. I always seem to look away sort of and back for 0.5 seconds and back and forth repeatedly. I have been suggested to look at their mouth instead, but I find this worse. This is me, lol. ------->
I don't really mind having this problem anyway since I hardly talk to people, but when I have to, dun dun dunnnnn!

You??

Sometimes. I tend to find it a bit easier to look at them if I'm concentrating fully on the conversation. That may just be me, though. :) Try to focus on what's being said without thinking about eye contact and it may help.

Yes, eye contact is a very hard thing for me. I can sometimes fake it though.

just do what I do ... kinda like look to their eyes, but change the focus of your eyes, so that you are watching their face in a blurry way, yet looking as if you are looking at them in the eyes. I feel that if I watch directly into their eyes it just gets too personal. Also remember not to "stare" very long, if they are making an example using their hands, they want you to stare at their hands.

I used to not look at people in their direction at all, never mind in their eyes. Now I'm forcing myself to look people in the eye but I have to look away briefly every second or so because I feel like my brain gets overloaded when I look people in the eye.

I often forget to look at their eyes, but when realising this I'll make a few attempts.

I'm not diagnosed, but I've always have trouble with eye contact. I'm better at faking it, but I still need to look away if the person is talking a lot so I don't miss details.

I remember I had lots of problems when I was younger, then I think it cleared up a bit and now it's come back. I look to the side of someone and find it tough to look directly at them for more than half a second or so. Dad's supportive - he says I look shifty. My friends are OK with it, they know it's nothing personal. Some people it doesn't seem to be much of a problem, my sister is physically and mentally disabled and I don't get the feeling when looking straight at her, and sometimes can keep some contact with customers at work but that may be just me trying to find out who's next and be quick.

I used to look elsewhere but lately I forced myself to look into people's eyes... and it's not as bad as I thought it would be! You just have to get used to it :)
