Is this weird?

I paid for my food completely ignoring the girl who bags groceries, paying attention to the total, and then I turn to the side and unintentionally, I meet eye to eye with her for a quick moment and then I walk away. Is is this considered weird?

I was also walking outside today and crossed paths with a shirtless jogger, and he said "Nice!". That was weird.

Firstly: Social interactions are complex. REALLY complex. Infinite complex. More words then can fit on this page to describe one of two situations complex.

But anyway, not actually caring about the people processing your groceries is very American of you. Also very human*Shudder* So nothing wrong there.
Crossing eyes, gazing into one-another's souls can be unintentional. Perhaps cash-register girl saw your face flip towards hers and she looked to see what was going on, so to speak.
And there are thousands more ways people can cross gazes when not intended.

It's common. What's not common is to recoil when it happens, as in clichés of love and autists.

Also, shirtless jogger is most likely either a very arrogant muscleman flaunting and needing someone to mock at(Which makes HIM sad) Or, most likely, he was gay and found you hot. I myself have jokingly complimented beautiful women passing by in a flash. Consider it a compliment, or, in the case of BOTH main likelyhoods, shake your head at their non-conforming nature, then realize non-conformity is kinda the subject here.

In most cases, trying to comprehend what is going on is a pointless excercize. Either you understand immedeately and/or your instincts will kick in, or you will not comprehend what's going on in time for it to matter anyway.

...

In one word, relax.
