Hello all, I'm very curious about Asperger's Syndrome and was wondering if this description fits me well.
I'm 18 yrs old and have started studying physics at university. My interests include computers (inc. building, overclocking and programming), gaming, reading books about physics and listening to music.
My obsessions would include physics and computers and my future ambition is to go into research.
I've always been quite aloof from others, and I much prefer to be on my own most of the time. My social skills are passable and I can get on with people, but I wouldn't describe myself as very outgoing.
I've not actually been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome specifically, rather I've been diagnosed with Semantic Pragmatic disorder at a very young age. It's only now that I've become very interested about this, but I'm not quite sure if I can be identified as someone with AS... I've heard that having AS usually means having superior analytical skills, memory and intelligence but I've not heard so much about semantic pragmatic disorder
I've always been different from others, and I hope my diagnosis isn't just a disadvantage!
