Hello everyone. I figured I should start by posting here.

It's always overwhelming to come to a new board or site like this and try to orient myself. Although it's nice to come to a place where I feel comfortable enough saying that right off the bat.

I JUST figured out that I have this... um, Aspergers. That's still even hard for me to type... let alone say it...

Everything fits. It's like having the biggest "ah-HA!" moment in my life. I'll leave it at that, but really, it's both amazing and absolutely horrible. I feel completely shaken to the core right now and am seeking some serious support. :(

As for the rest of me-- I'm a mom to an amazing almost-3-year-old, partnered, and live in the Seattle-area. I live for music and books. They are deeply, deeply important to me. Music especially. I'm mostly a stay-at-home-mom, although I work PT at a bookstore. I'm hoping to figure out what I want to do in life here soon and start going back to school. Except all that completely overwhelms me, and I can't seem to make a decision, so I'm totally stuck.

Anyway, I'm prone to rambling online, so I'll stop myself there for now. Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to the forum bjorker, I'm sure you'll find great support in here :)

And good luck with school! My mom just graduated a year ago, and she is very happy. And me too, I'm also an adult student, six months more 'till graduation! I'm also very happy too!

If you have a three year old, you already have a full time job.

Yep, music and books are almost the most important things on the planet. Behind cats, that is. And kids. :D

Aint that the truth! On all counts. Motherhood is, well, like nothing else. Talk about a kick in the pants to get all my ducks in a row.

I can't say I'm too into cats, but too each his own! :) The rest I'm in full agreement with, fo' sure. I mean, I literally don't know how I could survive without music. And I pretty much obsessively collect books.
