So, everyone, give your views. How seriously should we take the act of sex?

I don't think sex should be any more or less important than it is. True, people need it like they need to eat or drink as it is a bodily function we are all driven to, some more or less than others. However, sometimes we eat fast food and drink a coke on the run and sometimes we sit down to a romantic candle lit dinner with wine. I wouldn't want to always eat fast food any more than I would want the pressure of a romantic candle lit dinner every night. I wouldn't want sex to always be unimportant, but I also wouldn't want sex to be overly important all the time. I think a healthy relationship takes a little bit of both.

The only place for sex is in monogamous heterosexual marriage. For humans at least. Anyone who thinks humans are animals: marry a cow/dolphin/whatever!

Anyone who thinks that humans are not animals should take more biology classes. The Earth is not flat, nor is it the center of the universe. Humans are animals. They may be unique among the animals in some ways, with certain mental capacities that are more developed than other animals, but they are animals.

Marry a cow/dolphin/whatever? Why? An overwhelming large percent of cows hook up with bulls, dolphins with other dolphins, etc. The fact that humans are animals does not imply that they would ordinarily get busy with non-human animals. That is really a silly Non sequitur.

How about cats? They are very cute.

Cats with cats and rabbits with rabbits? Est sequitur.

Yes, I agree, humans are practically animals, just different species, we have bones, flesh, organs, we sleep, we eat, we poop, we have a lot in common with other species, difference is less physical strength and capabilities, but more brain capabilities compensating this. The idea of humans differencing from animals and even find it offensive to compare, it's because of the idea of man being created in God's image.
