Conformation Code e-mail

I received an e-mail saying that someone from my user account just requested a conformation code to change my password. I didn't request anything of the sort. I didn't click the link.
Also, I've been getting a pop-up window when I'm on WP asking to download something saying that it's from WP. I think the name of the file was Tribal. This happens while I'm just browsing forums. Does anyone know where this is coming from?

It says "you have chosen to open (random numbers)Tribal", and underneath of it it states that it is from wrongplanet.net. I never open the file, I just press cancel. That's about all that I remember of it. I'm not really all that computer savvy.
I'm also having a really hard time checking my yahoo mail, and logging onto WP this morning. This has never happened before. I can access my other mail, and any other sites, just not my yahoo page, or WP. I had to shutdown my pc, and unplug it before restarting just to finally access my mail, and WP.
