Hey, just a question to the admins (yes I'm an admin at a couple forums too, so I know what I'm talking about)

Why is it that a post can only be edited 9,999 minutes after it's posted? That seems a little absurd. I don't know if it's human err or something, but still. WTF?

My guess is that the system or whatever WP runs on does not allow for an infinite time for you to edit your posts. Therefore, they went for the next best thing, which is the maximum that would be allowed, and that normally involves a certain amount of 9's in a number.

Oh, OK.

That seems a bit weird, although it does protect against necroposting.

All they need to do is give it a time format

wouldn't that be necroediting? necroposting is ok unless you use it on a whole section page or general spam
