Curiously, never said: if a woman looked on a man to lust after him, she has commited adultery in her heart.....
*cheers* I can be as lustful as I like!
I'm not against the idea of godtube, and I think pornotube is a great idea.

Tradition is over-rated, and often nothing more than learned ignorance. Who decides what constitutes "decadence"? Often times "decadent" acts according to religious snobs are often acts that have no victims.... If nobody is getting hurt, why stop them from having fun?

Why not?
if there is a pornotube why not a godtube?
if there is a pornotube why not a godtube?
Is pornotube a good idea?
No because lust = adultery + coveting and it therefore a sin according to the Ten Commandments.
This is also expounded by Jesus:
Matthew 5:27-28 KJV
[27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
[28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
I'm against this godtube idea too, but for different reasons obviously. if something does not conform to your religion's standards, this is not sufficient reason to take them down. America is supposed to be a ---free--- country, if it offends you then don't watch it. But the rest of secular society should not have to cow toe to a religion they do not believe in.
I don't think anyone gave a reason, at least in what you quoted, why they didn't think godtube was a good idea. I never gave my reasons anywhere in this thread. I just said I didn't think it was a good idea. My point is, how do you know that your reason is different?

What are the reasons for being against it?
I am not actually against it, for what I've seen, just a little of it, doesn't seem extremist, conservative I guess, and it is legal and not actually hateful and controversial, obviously some of the things they say may be ridiculous, but they have the freedom to do that.

I am not saying godtube doesn't have the right to exist because it, of course, does have that right. What I mean by not good is unhealthy. I think that it promotes the idea that all Christians are separatists, i.e. they need their own website and can't use youtube like everybody else. Also, I think it promotes Christian bickering, which I don't believe is healthy for the religion itself. I have nothing against disagreement and discussion, but that site seems to promote open bickering and disdain between people who really pretty much believe the same thing, ironically, that they should love each other. So I don't think it is healthy/good.
I am a woman who thinks that most of the porn out there is degrading and that it makes women look like sex objects. If you are a man or a woman, I think that is an unhealthy way to see women on a regular basis. I also think that it is unhealthy to see all men as domineering ass holes. Therefore, I think porntube is also not a good idea.
PS: greenblue, I like your taste in avatars?

That is a large part of why I don't support this idea.... Also because religion should not be marketed for some profit-grubbing company or web site. I'm not really against decorating for the holidays (christmas, yule, hanukkah, kwanza, or w/e), but I think if one religion has the right to decorate society to promote their holiday, then all beliefs should have the same right.... When is the last time you seen anyone in a restaraunt or in a store or even an office building have a banner reading "happy kwanza" or "happy hanukkah"? Even if they are a minority, it does not mean they don't deserve the same rights or that they should not be able to speak to people of their religion about their holidays in the same ways...... I mean we've got "happy holidays"... Actually, there you go, come to think of it. No secular religion should promote it's holidays by putting up their decorations and such all over society, it should just be "happy holidays" and that includes everyone.

Of coarse "christians" will still b***h because they don't have special rights over other religions.
So by "special rights" do you mean the right to successfully and forcefully convert everyone not like them to be exactly like them, no matter what even if they already claim to be a Christian?
PS: I do NOT feel I have that "special right"
