Competition is entirely counter-productive as we all want generally the same thing, it's more the social side of the group that I was commenting on.[/quote]

by social, what do you mean? working with each other, talking at meetings? that sort of thing? it's the talking thing that helped make my decision to quit SolFed

I heard your neck of the woods is very picturesque. Is that right? So what's going on-- is there like a bad social situation going on?

a lot of it is. the hills round bradford and huddersfield are good, and plus there's roundhay park in leeds. i'd avoid knottingley though lol

there's a few things going on round there. cuts in the NHS, BNP councillors being elected, and the corn exchange closing down to become some posh people's food emporium, but nowt that could be described as a revolutionary situation

Such a nice countryside, too bad all this stuff is going down around. Anarchy really isn't the answer, unless you have a penchant for getting yer ass kicked, which is rather painful and who needs the aggravation in this day and age? It's too much. And anyway, anarchy never worked. Never did a thing for anyone. *They* will always win as long as you play by their power-tripping rules. Once you dis-engage and start learning about the rules of the Universe -aka gravity, attraction, alchemy -you will become someone with influence - the real stuff - that no one can touch. The real warriors of this world knew this art - survived every battle and thrived. This world we live in has entered the realm of spiritual war - whatever we are now witnessing and experiencing is a direct outcome from what kind of lives we are leading. Some will succumb to the old ways of killing, ego and bloodshed - and the rest with see with new eyes and rise above the chaos. It's only from a hawk's eye view that you can really know what's going on. Seek out some roots, my dear. Tether yourself, learn the new but ancient ways of the Grandmaster Elders. Leave the crazies behind like an old shedded skin. It no longer serves you. Trust me - even though you just met me. It's a better risk than going *anarchist* and getting yourself hurt by those without a soul.

the type of anarchism i want (an anarchist-communist society) hasn't really existed. the nearest thing there is to that is either the peace communities in Colombia, which are under attack from the authoritarian, US-supported Uribe regime, or Christania in Denmark, which the Danish state are trying to close down so that they can sell the land off for profit.

try this website: http://libcom.org

i got into anarchism as soon as i found it, though trying Trotskyism and not liking it helped.

solidarity etc

Exactly that sort of thing, the NTs tend to get into competitions in these sort of things, the "I am more of an anarchist/communist that you are" kind of thing.

Mass consciousness is moving away from violence, in spite of appearances and the last, frantic efforts (last hurrah) of the reptilian brained, ego-based, dark overlords - aka politicians, governments and terrorism. Who will fight a war if nobody shows up? The alternative to violence is all that's keeping us alive.
