Well, to be honest, I don't think avatars should be "mandatory" either, as that would be a mite ridiculous. I was mostly just looking for an excuse to put up links to all of the creatures listed in the ranks, as I wasn't sure myself exactly what each one looked like until I wrote it into a search engine.

And as for the veteran pic . . . sheesh, I avoided replying to the earlier comments for obvious reasons. I really had no idea it would stir up so many inflamatory emotions that quickly. I guess that's an Aspie thing, though. I picked the veteran pic because I thought it was the most interesting picture I found connected to that word when I googled it. That's all.

Maybe I should have re-titled this thread "Post Ranking: A Visualization".

Don't worry about it too much. We've all done something to piss everyone else off at least once in our lifetime, so let's just forget about it and move on.

About the avatars, I think it would be an interesting idea to offer if people wanted to... except for the veteran one. The other pictures are pretty good and I like them. Could it be an idea to consider for those people who don't choose separate avatars... that they can automatically choose to get those? And if they don't want an avatar, they can choose not to have one, as well?
