I'm always thinking of more things to say or I decide to re-word something after I've already posted it - when I edit one of my posts I've had a rare occasion where it'll show up on the new post "Last edited by...", but most of the time that line at the bottom doesn't show up. It just looks like a regular unedited post (with my changes in there of course). What's the difference? What's the criteria for wp to make it public that the post has been edited? Just curious.

I believe its a time limit, ie if you think of the change right away the system considers it part of the orginal post. If you change it later, the system considers it a change. I'll double check this and see if I can get more detail.

i believe that your post shows it's been edited if you edit it after it has been replied to. if it hasn't been replied to, no edit message is shown.

I kinda figured it was a time limit but the reply thing does make sense too. Hmmm...
