Why take this route, wouldn't it be possible to make the rotational area of the blades more visible? A red frame and some red strips ought to be all it would take, i'd imagine.

Instead of huge wind farms maybe they should be installing small windmills on everybodys roofs, like the small old windmills the farmers have been using forever for pumping water. Even though they would produce small amts of electricity they would be low cost and lots of small amounts add up to a big amount. These small windmills wouldn't be as harmful and would produce the electricity where it would be used.

I think there's a new scheme here in Australia, or there has been for the past few years, giving incentives for Australia farmers and landowners in relative high-wind speed zones to installed wind power generators. I saw a report on it on Landline a while back.
