Firefox is my preferred Browser however I find that I am unable to use the "go back one page" button when I am using Firefox to browse WP. I find the backpage button is a useful navigational tool and really struggle with the fact that I can't use it on WP if I'm using Firefox; I tend to open all links in a new window instead so that I don't lose where I was. Sometimes I use IE (which works fine) but other times I forget.

E-bay also won't let me backpage when using Firefox, but those are the only two sites I have exerienced this problem with. Do you know what prevents the packpage working with Firefox and is there anything the site or myself can do about it?

Same thing for me, and on more than one PC. When I right click the "back" button it shows 2,3 and sometime even 4 instances of the current web page even though I only clicked it once. Therefore clicking the "back" button on the Firefox browser adds up to telling the browser to go back to the page you are already on.

I just checked it out with Firefox (I usually use Opera) and the back button functioned fine. Have you kept up-to-date with the latest version of Firefox?

Thanks eddiedog8 and gwenevyn. I've just updated to version 2 of firefox and it's now working fine. You were right gwenevyn, I was running an older version because I didn't like the default tab settings in the newer version ie new pages opening a new tab instead of a new window. But after trying again with version 2 just now I went tools, options, tabs and changed my settings so that new pages open in a new window instead of in a new tab. Excellent. My back button is working fine on WP with version 2 of Firefox.

Venus.

Great! I'm glad to hear it worked out. I didn't know that one could change Firefox settings to avoid tabbed browsing, so I learned something new, too.

Oooooh, we share something in common.... I'm feeling tingly all over now

I would have posted something helpful but you all already fixed it.

I use Opera, Firefox and Safari (less & less).

I checked it out with Firefox just now. An author search worked fine on the first try. A keyword search brings up a google search, and then clicking that "search" button brings up the results in a new tab. I don't think I am experiencing the same trouble, unless perhaps you simply didn't notice the new tab?
