where do i get avatars

if you click on "profile" at the top of this page, black cap, and then scroll down to the avatars bit at the bottom, you can upload an avatar from your computer.

it also tells you about the appropriate size and stuff.

You can always Google an idea for an avatar and see what you get. Just go to www.google.com and click image search, then type your idea. I got mine from a Google Image Search for "Legend of Zelda."

It could be worse, but i'll change it if you want. I usually change my sig every week as well.
